Has anyone have bought the official book to the life of Steve Jops
the founder of Apple. I would like to know if it is worth reading
and if there are information about HyperCard in this book.
I try to get a used version of the book.

I have the Steve Jobs book, but hadn't found time to read it (there are other books I got before then that I also haven't yet read). But, the various people I know who have read the book speak highly of it.
The index is 29 pages long, and Bill Atkinson is in a lot of pages in the book. But HyperCard isn't listed once.

I have not read that one.
The summer before Steve Jobs died, I did read the book by Andy Hertzfeld
(sp) Revolution in The Valley: The Insanely Great Story of How the Mac Was
Made which is awesome. It was written by the core designer of the Mac and
is more about the development of Apple's "next big thing" and not so much
about Steve Jobs (although you couldn't have had the Mac without Jobs). I
recommend it a lot, even if it has only tangential relationship to HC.

Not a word about Hypercard. Its a good read. If you have read other Job biographies then about a third to two thirds won't be new. Definitely worth the $10.

The Isaacson biography is a great read. Once I found time to start, i finished it the following day.
I've been using a Mac since 1983 (six months before it was introduced to the public) and met many of the people described, but there was still a lot of new information. As others have noted, no mention of HyperCard - but Bill Atkinson appears frequently.
I recommend the book.

Isn't S. Jobs responsible for the untimely death of our beloved HyperCard?
As he more recently moved Apple away from being a computer company and towards being a gadget company, he put up massive barriers between "user" and "programmer". The current Apple model is basically the polar opposite of what HyperCard was all about, restricting users to canned software rather than empowering them to explore and create their own.
None of the iThings support programming very well, in fact programming tools were forbidden from the apps store initially. I realize lately this rule was relaxed and there are now some sort of hybrid IDE tools available in the app store, but those aren't coming from Apple like HyperCard did.
I'm not saying this was wrong or right, obviously the new model is much more profitable for Apple and making money was Job's job. It just seems that Job's "vision" for Apple was something HyperCard lovers would fear and detest rather than take an interest in.

I was actually a relative latecomer to Mac. In October 1987 I started working in tech support for Apple UK. When I first visited them they let me use a Mac Plus to write my CV, and that was really the first time I had used a Mac for more than a brief moment. Fortunately they were hiring me for my Apple II knowledge!
My early support days could be comical. A dealer would call up and ask "what's the latest version of Finder?". I would ask my colleagues "what's the latest version of Finder?". They would say "4.1". I would say "4.1", and hang up. Then I would say to my colleagues "what's Finder?".
I was an early adopter of HyperCard though, quickly putting it into use for logging support calls. When I left Apple at the end of Jan 1992 it was to become a full time HyperCard programmer for Voyager.

Nothing about HyperCard in there. It's a nice book, though it has a few small factual errors, as widely reported. I hear Hertzfeld's book or Lashinsky's Apple Inside are better if you're more interested in Apple than Steve the person, but didn't yet get around to verifying how good they are.
Cheers,
