Gene.

Do I understand that you are getting both Danny Goodman's "Hypercard 2.2" AND "Hypertalk 2.2, the Book" by DeVoto, Winkler and Kamins? If so, fine, if not, you need them. They are, in fact, all you need.

Let me know when you make your first stack, and what it is, which you should be sketching now.

We will soon see if you end up "liking" software beyond its usefulness for you. Everyone else does.

Everyone here loves HyperCard, so he's not being facetious. We simply don't know what you are planning to do. HyperCard has been discontinued. Apple is no longer selling it, and computers it runs on natively (and the operating system it needs to run on them) are also no longer being sold and are becoming rarer.<<<<<<<<<<

He was simply trying to prevent someone who might have heard about HyperCard and wasn't aware of that of trying to invest in something that has no future. Every year, old HyperCard boxes are thrown away, HyerCard 3.5in disks de-magnetize and are thrown away. <<<

I have the former, but not the latter. I also have the full package of 2.4.1 I recently acquired (I just love bartering) "The Educator`s Guide to HyperCard And HyperTalk",Culp and Watkins, University of Texas. 315 pages of lessons. I`ll let you know when I make first stack.
Cheers
