[HC] Multi-line fields to Filemaker
(Msg 1 of 2)

Hi,

We're finally moving one of my old HC databases over to Filemaker
v.12.

Most of the data goes over fines as a .csv file. But I have a
couple background memo fields on each card. The memo fields, of
course, of multiple lines/returns.

How can I get those into FM?

Don't mind kicking the memo fields out separately, using the
customer ID as a key, and just using a relation to show the memo
data for each customer.

Google is not helping me out here, hoping you all can!

Hi Tim,

If FileMaker still imports DIF files, you can convert your files to that
format. DIFfersifier converts HyperCard stacks to DIF and to a number of
other files. It also contains options to convert returns to vertical
tabs, which should appear as multiline fields in FileMaker.
