[HC] The 'hilite' property
(Msg 1 of 3)

Hello,
Whilst using HyperCard today, I found that when I set the hilite of a button to true and then clicked on it, the hilite reverted back to false. This seemed a bit unusual to me, as I expected the property to remain the same.
Is there a setting that changes this, and is this usual?
Thanks,
Andrew

Your button has its "autoHilite" property set, which turns on the highlight on mouseDown, and off again on mouseUp. Set autoHilite to false and it won't interfere anymore.
